Frequently asked questions

How will the makeup stay on if its humid and I’m sweating

Warm or humid conditions can affect how makeup wears, but with the right preparation and products, it will stay flawless throughout your day. I always recommend having your hair and makeup done in an air-conditioned space and minimising time outdoors once you’re ready until the ceremony begins.

If you tend to get emotional, lightly pat your eyes with a tissue rather than rubbing to prevent makeup from shifting. Limiting alcohol before your ceremony can also help, as it raises body temperature and may cause extra perspiration.

For touch-ups, I suggest keeping a mineral powder or blotting papers on hand to reduce shine, and a lip gloss or lipstick for reapplication after the ceremony and photos. Usually, one final touch-up before entering the reception is all you’ll need. Unless you have a medical condition that causes excessive sweating, your makeup will hold beautifully all day and night.

What should I expect for the wedding day

To ensure a calm and seamless preparation experience, we work in 1-hour intervals for hair and makeup. This allows plenty of time for each person to enjoy the process without feeling rushed. I’ll be accompanied by my hairstylist, and for larger bookings, an additional hair and makeup assistant will join the team. Below is an example of a suggested timeline for six people based on a 4:30 PM ceremony:

For 6 people – Wedding at 4:30 PM

  • 11:00 AM – Hair and makeup team arrive at lobby, escorted to bride’s room, and set up.
  • 11:30 AM – Person 1 hair + Person 2 makeup with me + Person 3 makeup with assistant.
  • 12:30 PM – Person 4 hair + Person 1 makeup with me + Person 3 hair with assistant.
  • 1:30 PM – Bride hair + Person 4 makeup with me + Person 5 makeup with assistant.
  • 2:30 PM – Bride makeup + Person 2 hair + Person 5 hair with assistant.
  • 3:30 PM – Hair and makeup complete, team pack up and depart.

Do you do touch up’s?

Cherish your wedding memories with grace and glamour with my teams bridal touch up service!

My team can stay for a makeup touch up and hair change after the main photo shoot (for the bride only). Please inquire regarding pricing if you would like this service. Touch up charge begins when the initial hair and makeup service is complete, generally an hour prior to ceremony time. Touch up service normally is a 3 hour booking but subject to brides individual timing.

Deposit policy & last minute cancellation

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Please note that once a deposit has been paid, cancellations aren’t accepted. If someone in your group can no longer receive services or is unable to attend, their spot can be transferred to another person, but not cancelled.

If anyone is unsure about having their hair or makeup done, it’s best to confirm once they’re completely certain – additional people can always be added later, but not removed.

For larger bookings, a hair and makeup assistant will join the team to ensure everything runs smoothly and on time.
